Grand opening for Millington Exchange on Nov. 12
Farmington, CT, November 12, 2015 (Newswire.com) - KBE Building Corp. (KBE) continues to do good for active military members, veterans, and their families—the $300 million firm recently completed its third Navy Exchange construction project on the East Coast, the Navy Exchange in Millington, TN.
Located at Building 752, NSA Mid-South in Millington, the new building provides an upscale shopping and service experience, including a barber shop, cash office, laundry/dry cleaning, and more.
Millington, TN Navy Exchange | Project Highlights
KBE served as General Contractor for the $2.5M project, which encompassed the following highlights:
· 53,000 s/f of renovation and new construction, including the open renovation and abatement of the Main Exchange at the Mid-South Activities Support Area

A History of Building for Veterans
The Millington Navy Exchange is KBE’s third time building for the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA)/Navy Exchange (NEX) within the past two years.
KBE served as General Contractor for the $27 million Annapolis Joint Commissary and Navy Exchange project, which included the renovation of the 51,000 s/f Joint Commissary and the new construction of a 98,000 s/f Navy Exchange with a 10,000 s/f garden center. The firm won the ABC-Chesapeake Shores Chapter’s 2015 Excellence in Construction award for the project, which also earned LEED silver certification.
KBE also built the $14.5 million, 57,000 s/f Groton (New London) Commissary in Groton, CT Groton.
